This project includes the development of a new 25m heated eight-lane outdoor pool, a purpose built heated indoor learn-to-swim pool, a children’s splash pool with slide and water fountains, cafe and reception area and a refurbished fitness centre. The centre offers a broad range of services for the aquatic and health needs of the Griffith Uni community.

Australian Federal Police Headquarters

The AFP Building is a two-storey 3,600sqm building comprising of a steel structural system, post-tension first floor concrete slab and a combination of masonry and light steel frame wall construction. The majority of the first floor of the building is clad in Alpolic aluminium sandwich panels while the ground floor is rendered blockwork.

Palm Beach Apartments

This project involved 23 affodable units over three storeys. The ‘U’ shaped arrangement maximises sun penetration and creates a communal courtyard. As a standard feature, climatically responsive elements such as eaves and awnings are incorporated, and extensive screening provides privacy, security, solar and storm protection while maximising desirable ocean views.

Bellamack

The Bellamack Community Centre is designed to not only be a venue for performaces and community events, but also to be a true destination for for families, individuals and groups. The centre features a 600 seat auditorium, conference facilities, community group rooms, an art gallery space and extensive landscaping catering for different types of groups and users.

Howard Springs Nature Reserve

MODE DESIGN was commissioned to design and document a waterfall and shallow rock pools to be incorporated into a nature park for children to paddle, play and cool down in the hot tropical climate of the Northern Territory. MODE DESIGN lead the multidisciplinary project including surveys, geotechnical reviews and upgrade of services.

Frueauf Village

This multi purpose ski village is located in the High Plains of South East Victoria at Falls Creek. The central core provides for a cinema and restaurant and is surrounded by separate lodges. The extreme climate has required the careful selection of materials which are natural stone, copper and timber cladding and galvanised steelwork.
