George is a registered architect in the UK, but now lives in Auckland, New Zealand. He has over 30 years experience in airport, commercial, industrial, correctional and hotel projects. During his career, George has worked primarily as an Architect and has been involved in Space Planning, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Landscape Design and Project Management.

George has strong ‘people’ skills – his ‘forte’ is in team management and project management with hands-on client interface. He is responsible for all stages of the design process, through running projects on site to final handover, including documentation and administration of projects.

Saurin Shah

Saurin has over 10 years of local & international experience including a Masters degree in Architectural Design from University of Sydney. He is an enthusiastic professional with a wide range of experience in educational, commercial, industrial & multi-residential Buildings.

Saurin has ability of taking project from inception to completion. He offers high standard of documentation & project co-ordination with his extensive Revit skills and proactive approach.

Thomas Thomas

Thomas moved from Kuala Lumpua, Malaysia in 2007 and is now a Permanent Resident in Australia. He has been involved in architectural practice since 1984 and worked on a wide variety of projects including Hospitals, Specialist Medical Facilities, Hotels and Residential Buildings.

Thomas has specialised in Medical Health Care facilities since 1990, working on a multi-million dollar hospital projects. He has considerable experience in developing Room Data for hospitals, Medical Planning and construction documentation.

Cherise Northfield

Cherise joins our Melbourne office and will be responsible for all administration and architectural assistant tasks. She has just finished her Bachelor of Environment majoring in Architecture at Melbourne University. Her main interest during her studies was in environmental building design such as implementing sustainable techniques, urban history and architectural history.

Laura Jang

Laura joins our Dutton Park Office and is in her final year of completing Bachelor of Design (Architecture Studies) at the Queensland University of Technology. With minors in Interior Design and Urban and Regional Planning, she hopes her
interdisciplinary skills will allow her the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of projects. Laura is particularly interested in elements of biomimetics and how this could be integrated in evolving design and hopes she will get the chance to introduce these concepts into practice.

Kelly has joined MODE as the new receptionist in the Brisbane Office. She has 10 years experience in Administration and Customer Service. Kelly just returned from Canada where she lived and worked since 2009 and is looking forward to being a part of the MODE team.

Carl brings a wealth of experience and understanding of the built environment to the practice, in particular with regard to the project procurement and delivery to the end users. Having worked for both small principal owned practices and multi disciplinary firms, nationally and internationally, he has gained experience within all major architectural fields including commercial, residential, Healthcare, hospitality, Industrial and correctional projects.

With a post graduate qualification in Project Management and Fire Safety Practice, in addition to a Degree in Architecture, Carl possesses the necessary skills, knowledge and passion to take projects from conception to completion.

Jarrod Williams

Jarrod is currently finishing a diploma in building design and technology part-time and has been working in the industry for over 4 years. Jarrod brings to mode experience in correctional work and a variety of different projects with a broad knowledge of software packages. Always eager to learn more in all areas and looking forward to doing so within the company.
