Rhonan O’Brien
Rhonan started a two-person practice in 1991 as Rhonan O’Brien Architects & Designers before becoming Managing Director of MODE DESIGN.
With 30 years experience, Rhonan applies a ‘triple bottom line’ approach of environmental, economic and social sustainability to measure the success of projects. His interest in master planning has seen him lead award winning projects such as the Valley Heart Master Plan and Canterbury College Master Plan. Rhonan’s ability to consider alternative design solutions which creates additional value in built projects is a key strength, while his flair for flexible and adaptable designs often results in delivering above and beyond Client expectations.
Rhonan serves on the panel of judges for the UDIA National Awards for Excellence, RAIA Awards and is a Juror for the Australian Institute of Architects.
